Namaste.

Kadhulu Kadhulu, the song that happens in the climax of the movie, that turns the events, story, and characters. Penned down by Suddala Ashok Teja, rendered by Sri Krishna & Vedala Hemachandra, and scored by Thaman S.

Due to the silence, stigma, and shame surrounding it, violence against women and girls (VAWG) is one of the most pervasive, ongoing, and severe human rights violations in our society today. Violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, and peace as well as to the fulfillment of women’s and girls’ human rights.

This song is about a woman fighting a molestor and defending herself from him. Let's dive in to the lyrics and find out what she was fighting for:

Kadhulu Kadhulu Kadhulu

Make a move

Katlu Thenchukuni Kadhulu

Make a move by breaking shackles

Vadhulu Vadhulu Vadhulu

Take leave

Banisa Sankellanu Vadhulu

Leave the slavery

Kalam Thana Kallu Therichi

Time has opened its eyes

Gaalisthunnadhi Neelo

Searching in you

Kaalika Emayindhani

Where is the Kali

Ugra Jwalika Emayindhani

Where is the fiery goddess

Debba Kodithe

If beaten

Puli Nenu Aadadhannantundha

Does the tiger thinks it as a girl?

Thoka Thokkithe

If stepped on tail

Nagu Thananu Aadhanukuntundha

Does the snake thinks it as a girl?

The lyrisict asking to break the shackles and end slavery that sorrounds masses of women these days. He's urging them to be like a "Kali" (a fiery Indian goddess), who kills the demons and bring freedom to them. He also remembers the tiger and snake doesn't think them as a girl when someone messes with them. So, as a girl, being strong and quick-witted can save you and make you more powerful.

Gaajutho Gaayalu Chey

Hit them with your bangles

Chunnine Urithadu Chey

Make a hanging rope with your scarf

Rangulu Pette Gollane Guche Bakulu Chey

Use your nails as a weapon

Pirikithanam Aavahinchi

Your cowardness

Parigethe Ni Kaallatho

Your running legs

Rendu Thodala Madya Thanni

Hit him hard on the center

Narakam Paricheyam Chey

Give him hell

Ni Sharirame Neku

Your body

Aayudha Karmagaram

Made of weapons

Bathuku Samara Bhoomilo

In this world of survival

Neku Neeve Sainyam Sainyam...

You are your soldier

He reminds the women that they are the soldiers for their world and no one will come save them when they're in danger. Their body is their weapon so make him suffer when he messes with you. There's no need of running away from him when you are your strength.

I call upon every woman reading this to believe and practice the thought: ‘I’m Durga’. It can empower her to face smallest to biggest problems with wisdom and ease. It’s important to tell ourselves, as much as possible: “I’m not a powerless, submissive woman, I’m Durga. I have all the necessary weapons and now I can fight. I’m strong, intelligent, and worthy.

Happy Reading!
